So I kinda figured out how to do this thing! lol....I made it somewhat pretty! I developed a weird obsession for pink and black back in high school (thanks Jess) and when I saw that design I had to have it. My problem now is a name?? I can't be the newbie page for the rest of my life. Hopefully over the next few days I will have this down and be a blogging pro. -this is where you nice people are supposed to leave a comment on a good name for me and where/how to get a cute header to match the new pink and black Victorian thing I have going on here!!-
What is with the no bagging, no bags, need a quarter to get a cart, grocery stores these days? As I mentioned, we have just moved to the sticks, aka Elmira, ON, and there are only 2 grocery stores here. One is a foodland which is like a Sobeys and then a NoFrills. NoFrills is the target of my attack right now. I understand that by not having to pay extra staff members that would be bagging your groceries or rounding up all the carts at the end of the day allows them to give you better deals on your groceries but have you ever tried to go to those kind of stores with more than one child. Or just one child for that matter. Here's my experience today...
First off, as we pull into the parking lot we realize we have no quarter, which you need in order to 'borrow' a shopping cart. The thought of having to do a load of groceries with two children and no cart begins to make me panic. So after a 10 minute search the car for fallen change mission, we find a quarter!!!! Tah-Dah!!!!! In the store we go. (I should mention that I was not by myself but I think most women can relate to how much men like shopping no matter what its for.) So we rush in the store in fear of being attacked by the massive bee swarm that has collected in front of the store, only to find that the bees have made a nice new home in the bin of apples at the front door. Thank God no one was stung, that could have been disastrous! The trip continues with a few trips to the bathroom, a freak out over 'big juice' (powerade...my son, Goober (PS not his real name), has developed a weird obsession with this stuff), a freak out over some nesquick (this one by my hunny, over nesquick...seriously) and then the check-out. Oh-My-God!!! My daughter, who is 7months old, begins to scream in hunger (it was right around lunch time so her freak out was understandable). Daddy left with her to the car, leaving me and the 2 and a half year old to unload the cart, pay, pack our own groceries in boxes or whatever you can find lying around there and get the heck out. The nice lady offers Goober a sticker seeing my frustration already because he can't help but climb up the side of the roller thing, play with the register beside us (they honestly need to put a half door or something up there, ya know where I mean???) so he takes the spider man sticker and throws the rest back at her...oh, he did say thanks!! good for him! We pay and the groceries are waiting on the other end for us. But of course they have to put 2 separate roller things (why can't I remember what those things are called?!?) at the other end and only enough room for one anorexic person to fit. No way are you going to get to 2 ladies with their borrowed carts and boxes and kids and groceries and, AND!!!!! !! GRRR! As if that isn't enough Goober proceeds to try and pull at a little girl minding her own business at the next register. When she finally leaves almost in tears he moves on to the boy on the other side of us who is on top of the roller thing (someone please help me!). GREAT!!!
When he finally came within arms reach, remember I'm trying to pack groceries into a damn dog food box, he got put in between the cart (which is in everyone's way) and the end of the roller thing. You'd think this was the end. No. He then takes it upon himself to push the buttons that bring the groceries towards you...ya know that thing that always squishes the bread. Of course he couldn't just ruin our bread he had to do it to the other lady beside us. Then...WE LEFT!!!! But on the way out he had to get one last kick in there and he ran into like 5 people trying to get to the free paper box so he could grab about 50 of them and...yup, you guessed it...THROW!!!!!
After a few swear words and a very fast dash to the car, which almost ran us over cause daddy was trying to meet us at the front so it would be easier, but, I was on a mission and wasn't stopping till I was as far away from the store as possible. Shove the groceries in the trunk that is already to full with strollers and bumbos and crap, take the borrowed 25cent cart back to the store to get my GD quarter back and go the eff home.
Now other than accept the fact that I have a 2 year old that probably...no, isn't going to behave all the time, I decided to blame it on the store for not having bags and charging me to borrow the cart. I feel better!!!
Conclusions....Ladies, ALWAYS go shopping by yourself to a store that will give you a cart FREE OF CHARGE, give you the BAGs to bag your groceries and also put the groceries in said bag and into your cart. They have nice little docking stations to put the cart back in that are practically beside your car and when you get home...put the bags under your sink and use them as garbage bags!!! YES!!! Problems solved!

What a LOSER!!!!
So I've determined that the 18 visitors, people that love me, that have visited my page is probably just me checking back a ridiculous amount of times to see if anyone has read my page.
How are you supposed to get people to read this stuff?? Have something interesting to talk about? Do something exciting and tell everyone about it? I can't help it if I'm a boring stay at home Mom that doesn't do very much. I guess I'll write this new post and see what happens from there.
This weekend my family and I celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of my Grandparents. The same grandma that loves to take me and my 2 children shopping all the time! We went to the Keg for supper and that was AWESOME!! I can't help it but when someone places a big bloody piece of meet in front of me, I go crazy!!! So that was fun.
My family is all about car racing. My Uncle raced. His sons both race. One son races a stock car, and the other go carts. My dad has always been involved with them too as my uncle is 20 years his senior. So this weekend was the last race of the year, the big Oktoberfest Weekend at Flamboro Speedway. The plan was to go and have a huge group of people. Some of my friends some of my boyfriends family and my dads family. As many of you know, things don't always go as planned and my dad ended up going and racing my his self. I feel so bad and I hope everything went okay for him.
So my plan right now is to post my blog-site (if that's what its called) on as many facebook groups as I can and see if anyone will read/comment. I know I'm a loser but I need some sort of excitement in my life!!!! I wish someone will leave me the most awesome-est comment and I will be able to roll with that!!!!!
Chat later!!!!
